Don't be the Problem - Be the Solution

 2Ki 5:2  And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife. 2Ki 5:3  And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.

Solution to a problem can be difficult because of perception. It may take another to see the solution. The little maid in the verse above was a solution to the problem that Naaman was having. She could well have been a problem to him because she was a captive slave but instead she took on the role of a saviour by advising the wife of Naaman in the positive.

Problems have a way of bringing out the worst in us and as a result cause bigger problems to arise. However, if we saw things through the eyes of our understanding, we would have a solution. I believe Apostle Paul spoke of this is in a way that would help us understand the ways of God. Eph 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: Eph 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, Eph 1:19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. If only we could see and know this clearly, we would have such victory in our lives like the kind we have never seen.

I believe God has given us a Saviour in Jesus just like that little maid was to Naaman. I do not want to be-little Jesus but I want to venerate Him as our all encompassing solution to life. He did not come to add to our problems by becoming a problem for us, instead, He came to be the solution to our problems. When we see Him seated upon the throne of life ruling and reigning like never before, we will realise that the problems we face today in life are really nothing compared to the solution. 2Co 4:17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

If God had thought that there were some problems that could not be covered by Jesus He would not have made Jesus Lord of all. By becoming Lord of all, He took over all the world’s problems and brought it under His feet and in turn gave us His power to overcome life and its problems in the same way He did. 1Jn 5:4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. The world is a problematic place with all its convoluted ways of evil that was never meant to be. The problem came when Adam and Eve became the problem and not the solution to what God had already prepared for us. Yet, if we lay all our problems at their feet, we will not understand how God did not impute their sin to us though it came upon us through their disobedience. Now, we are all born sinners because of their sin which allowed sin and death to come into a perfect world. To overcome this problem, God sent Jesus to defeat sin on the cross and set His people free. If we follow after Jesus, we will not sin or be in sin like Adam and Eve were. However, the choice again is up to us just as it was up to them when they were asked to obey God’s commandments.

Herein is the problem. To be or not to be. That is to say, obedient to God and resist the devil. The choice is ours even after we become born again. We can still be a problem to others and ourselves if we do not listen and obey the commandments of God. Apostle Paul says. Gal 5:7  Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? Gal 5:8  This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. Gal 5:9  A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. One small problem can become a monstrous problem for everyone. The idea of being in the body of Christ is to be a solution to problems that go on in the Church and in the world. If we behave the same way the world does, we have no recourse left. This then becomes wilful sinning and God is displeased with it, to the extent that He will cut us off. Since Jesus came, there is no more sacrifice for sin. Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Heb 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. I think, the word of God is plain and simple in its explanation.

Problems come about in daily life irrespective of whether we create them or not. This is where we can be most effective to provide a solution. We have the knowledge and the power to overcome the world through faith. Let us use our faith in God to access the problem solver Jesus through His word, Spirit and blood to overcome this world’s problems just like He did. For this to happen, we need to be at peace with God and live in assurance of His love. Otherwise, we will find ourselves steeped in problems while trying to help someone else out of the problem. We need to use a lot of wisdom when dealing with another’s problems. Otherwise, someone else’s problems can easily become ours. Furthermore, the world’s problems can also become ours if we are not careful because we live in a world that is most certainly not perfect.

Just as the picture at the start of this letter depicts, we could easily miss the solution to life that has already been provided by God by focussing on the problem that is really not a problem anymore because of Jesus. Psa 91:3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. Where there was no escape from this world and its problems because of the snares set by the devil, we are now free through Jesus who overcame it all for us. The greatest joy one can have is to witness the freedom of a bound person. There is celebration in heaven by the angels. They rejoice at the sinner who comes to Jesus and is set free. Not only that, the joy is in knowing that you can overcome problems in daily living by observing the commandments of God in the Bible and the solutions given in it for daily living. This is true freedom.

I cannot tell you how much I have been blessed by following the word. In every area of my life, I have been blessed by God’s words that have provided the solution. Now, because of that, I am a solution provider through the word for many who are in captivity to this world and its problems. Many have been blessed through this ministry as I have been blessed through the word. I am determined to be the solution to people and not the problem. This many not always seem so especially when people become irate at what you tell them according to the word. I remember telling one lady that her problems in life in health and unhappiness were coming out of her de-facto relationship while she was living under the guise of Christianity as a Christian. She wanted me to approve her journey, which I flatly refused, based on the word of God. Not long after, she found out that the man she was living with was having an affair with someone else. All this did not manifest in her life till I came into her life as the Minister of God. Till then, she was oblivious to it all. Now, the question is, was I a problem or a solution? It may seem that I was a problem but in actual fact, I was the solution to her salvation process. What is more important; her soul or her daily life upon this earth? My answer is, eternity is more important. I provided a solution for her to find peace with God and live a holy life which she obviously was not living and as a result was having huge problems in life. Likewise, I asked another lady to forgive her ex-husband and partner who had caused her much grief in life. When she did, she was instantly healed of cirrhosis of the liver which was a death sentence on her. Again, I was the solution through the word of God. When you understand the principles of God, being the solution is made easier though many may not accept your solutions. They want their problem to go away in the natural while never employing the spiritual. This is the folly of man.

I am convinced that this world cannot offer any solution to the human problem at all. All the band aid solutions that are being applied are only creating more problems. The world is out of control, governments are at wits end as to what to do. All they do is lay the blame on each other. God through Jesus will always be the solution to life’s problems no matter how mundane it is. There will come a day when the world will no longer exist and all of life’s problems will disappear forever. Rev 21:4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Wow! I cannot wait for this glorious day. However, while we are on earth, let us determine to be the solution and not the problem. For this, we have to examine our own hearts and see if there be any wicked way in us that is causing us to be problems. Lack of submission to God and His authority invested in men, unresolved issues, selfishness, bad character bad habits and unrestrained living will cause us to be a problem rather than a solution. Added to this, if we neglect God’s word, we will never understand the solution that God has provided. He has made us the solution and not the problem. Eph 3:10  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.  Imagine that. God has chosen us to be the solution even in the spiritual realm of darkness. One day, we will sit on thrones and provide solutions to the worlds.

Prepare yourself approved in the word to become a problem solver and a solution provider

Lots of love
