The spirit of Betrayal

From the Pastor’s heart

Mat_26:23  And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. Mar 14:10  And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them. Mar 14:11  And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

It is always the one who is the closest to you or very close to you that will betray you. Betrayal is a matter of the heart not the mind, though the act is as a result of the mind. Betrayers have a mind to betray and usually will not back down till after the act. It is then that they realise their folly. Yet, many never accept that they acted as betrayers and many go onto justify their actions.              By then it is too late and much guilt and condemnation become their portion in life. Many even take their own lives or live lives after that which is void of any good judgement. Not only are the betrayers the victims but the ones who are betrayed. This is the essence of betrayal. It is an act perpetrated by the devil to destroy both parties. This is the spirit of anti-Christ.

The betrayer is not the one whom you love very much but the one who attachs himself to you. Jesus loved John and Peter very much. Jesus told Peter that satan wanted to sift him like wheat but that He had prayed for Peter. Therefore, the betrayal did not come through Peter though it was schemed that way by the devil. The one who attachs himself to you is always seeking to gain from you in any area that he might benefit himself. This could include your anointing, ministry, general life,  possessions and often time your job. Their prime motive is self gain while riding on the popularity enjoyed by the one betrayed. Jesus was popular with the people with whom He moved because He gave them good news and did miracles. Judas, though a disiciple was only mindful of the treasury and not the Kingdom of God. When he realised that Jesus was not setting up His kingdom on earth in his time, his hopes were dashed. His heart was not for God but for money.  Joh 12:4  Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him, Joh 12:5Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?Joh 12:6  This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. Betrayal for money is the most common form of betrayal. There are other forms of betrayal which involve adultery, telling lies when the truth is most needed and so on.  The common theme about betrayal is that, it is portrayed in relationships. Someone intimate has to draw first blood. When Judas decided that he wanted to betray Jesus, it says; satan entered his heart. Joh 13:27And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. The fact that satan perpetrated the whole scheme behind the betrayal of Jesus is evident as he wanted Jesus to go the cross and die. All satan had to do was find a willing vessel. This is where we come in. If our hearts are not given to Jesus, we are often victims of betrayal and some times find ourselves as perpetrators of betrayal.

Betrayal in Churches is a common theme that commonly manifests in church splits. Usually it is carried out by people who have spent time in the church, learnt how to run church and then have decided they can do a better job than the appointed man of God. This leads to betrayal as they see no other way to gain position in church that they believe will compliment their skills, gifts and talents. Jesus spoke of such people as those who seek to come into the flock by a doorway other than through the Shepherd. They come in another way. Joh 10:1  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. Joh 10:2  But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. The consumation of lust is the finality of sin and death. Jas 1:14  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Jas 1:15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

I am constantly aware of people who are so dissatisfied with life that they are seeking a better way out through betrayal. They wait for someone else’s spouse, another’s church or ministry or something they do not have or cannot get. This is when the desire begins and betrayal enters the heart. This is a very sinister spirit that works within a man’s heart and one must guard against it. Pride is a forerunner of such spirits. They who seek position and power often do so out of betrayal. Through the history of mankind we have seen kingdoms rise and fall out of betrayal. Today, politicians are the number one example of betrayal as they stab each other in the back trying to gain position and power. One must ask, “why do they do this”? I believe the ultimate motivation for betrayal is greed, power and sexual misconduct. The pursuit of power is basically to make decisions without the hinderances of having to listen to others, like Assad is doing in Syria. He is killing his own citizens out the madness of power. When Lucifer became a betrayer, he led many in heaven astray through his betrayal. He will continue to betray them who follow him because that is his style. When casting out demons, the strong man will sacrifice many smaller and less powerful demons to being cast out in the hope that he will be spared by neglect. This is always their style. Mat_12:29Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

I am convinced that society has become what it is by the betrayal of mankind between themselves. Mankind has lost its way having forsaken what is Godly for what is devilish. When evil came into the world, man had no chance for survival in his created form. He had to be re-created but this time re-creation was evidenced by being born again. When a person is truly born again, betrayal and other worldly concepts leave them. They become Godly and seek only Godly things. Mistakes may be made along the way but never betrayal. Waiting in God for one’s true position inlife is a good thing. There are many benefits in waiting for what is yours as given by God. If it is not meant for you then one must not seek to gain it. It is in this arena that many find themselves lost in the ways of the evil one.

Many have found out that relationships are the breeding ground for betrayal. Rejection follows betrayal and many are lost and hurt over what took place. Those who are rejected in life through betrayal hardly ever overcome the betrayal. We must take a cue from the life of Jesus about overcoming betrayal in life. His betrayal led to His greatest sacrifice and victory for mankind. Why betrayl to achieve this? I believe that God wanted us to see what it is like to be rejected by His own creation who betrayed Him, starting with Lucifer and the angels in heaven and then subsequently through man. The cross seems a cruel way to go yet, God’s wisdom is not without reason. He is showing us through Jesus that we too can overcome betrayal. One does not necessarily understand all the goings on in the faith but we know that we are subject to betrayal. Probably many of us have already experienced it and the bitterness of it. Seek to walk with a pure and a meek heart of acceptance of one’s humanity.

This next portion was written prophetically in 2014 December and never released. I feel to release it now. At the time I received it, God told me to hold it.

I feel strongly that this spirit of betrayal has another name to it, which is; the spirit of anti-Christ. This is why I believe the Holy Spirit is asking me to write this letter. Right now, this spirit is looking for victims. The victims will not be ordinary innocent bystanders who will be deceived. These will be people who know what they are doing but will do so because they see it as a righteous act. It will grow in them like an insidious tumour. It begins as a cancer and continues for a long time undetected till it is too heavy to carry and then it will manifest and destroy. The spirit that is working already is here and living on the earth. This spirit will affect whole governments. It will cause them to make and break alliances to suit themselves. Politics will not be what it seems anymore but it will be with deadly intent not only for the politicians but also for the people.

My reason for writing this piece is only as a warning. It is not to dishearten you but to awaken you to this form of evil so that you know how to deal with it when you are faced with it for one reason or another. You are an overcomer if you walk with Christ in the Spirit. Only then will you be able to defeat it but you must know your enemy first in order to deal with it. 1Co 9:26I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

If they persecuted Jesus and betrayed Him, they will do the same to us. So, be prepared for the days of evil ahead that we need to pay attention to because we see it in our daily lives. It may not be affecting us directly just yet but it will soon come to our doorstep in Australia. Let us not live in unrealistic times of a false hope. The journey is not yet finished. Stick close to one another in the knowledge of your faith. The end time portal of faith is closing as I have preached. In the last days there will be many in the Church who will fall away. Be prepared to pray and prepare yourself for encounters with God. The supernatural awaits us if we are open to it.

Lots of lovePastor Noble
