A Day of Reckoning
To what purpose will the gospel be preached in the days to come? I believe to no purpose other than to show the world that they are under conviction of judgement. The reason for this is, the days will come upon the earth when Jesus will no longer be a name recognised for what He did for mankind. His name will be removed from every walk of life that men follow because His name is a threat to the way of the anti-Christ. The removal of the gospel will involve the removal of many of the passages of the Bible and the Bible itself re-written to suit what the nature of religion will become. So much so, when the gospel is preached in its true form, it will be rejected. Repentance, forgiveness for sin and many other Godly requirements will be alien to human thinking.
The way schools conduct their teaching along with what is watched on the television will all influence the generations to come in how to think and behave. When Jesus came to the earth, the religious leaders had enough time to change the laws of God to something that they controlled as Priests. So much so, when Jesus who was prophesied about in the scriptures came to the earth, His own did not receive Him. Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Likewise, the Church has had enough time to change the scriptures (false teaching) and remove the Godhead of Jesus from the Church. The push is one for a one-world religion so that the name Jesus can be removed. It will become humanism based on human morals and what man says is right and wrong, and good, and evil. There will be no need for a loving God, a Creator to be portrayed because by then men will believe they are self-created or evolved and so does not need a Creator God.
The day of reckoning is going to be a period of reckoning when true Christians will find themselves in such a small minority that it will be laughable for them to think of themselves as a force upon earth that is of God. It is at this time we will see the supernatural like never before on earth. The two witnesses of God will bring such conviction upon the earth that it will cause major problems for the establishment on earth at that time. Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
The reason that these two witnesses will be such a shock to the world system is because of the lack of the knowledge and conviction of God at that time. So, when two prophets turn up and start to prophesy possibly doom and gloom, guess what? No one will want to hear it. When they are overcome, the people will rejoice and give gifts to one another. Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
The state of the earth at a certain period in time will be so chaotic that if you do not join the crowd, so to speak, you will be ostracised. In many cases, a person will be marked for further investigation by the government and local agencies. Once the anti-Christ comes on the scene, it will be impossible to do anything that is Christian openly. Furthermore, you will be required to accept his regime or die.
Even now, we are facing much persecution openly in many third world countries for preaching the gospel. Added to this are the subtle but overt restrictions to spreading the gospel amongst institutions such as schools, hospitals, and many other places.
We must do what we can now to sow the seed of the word of God into the hearts of people. When the time comes, God will germinate that seed and bring life out of it. Our time on earth must be accountable before God and should be productive. Sowing seed, watering sown seed and reaping the harvest are all essentials for us as Christians to do. Added to this, we must secure the believers and bring a greater conviction of the need to be sure of their faith. Faith will be in short supply because the gospel of truth will not be preached openly anymore. The kind of faith to believe God in the worst scenarios so that we do not become like animals or end up becoming unforgiving toward our persecutors.
Mind you, none of these things are going to be easy. Family members will turn on one another, friends will betray one another, and the day of reckoning will be like a holocaust that bursts upon the earth. What we build within the framework of our faith now is what will last in the difficult times should we tarry on the earth. The current situation is only the beginning of woes and already many are succumbing to the pressures of governmental rules that is eradicating the freedom of life. Fear is the norm and people are being made to isolate from one another in the knowledge of the rules. Following the rules to an extent is possible but once it becomes overbearing and takes on the nature of imprisonment, then we will see a greater need to seek God for new solutions to living.
I am sure God will show His people the way, but I am also concerned for many who will seek the world first rather than the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. The final outcome, is when Jesus appears on the earth and every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.
Lots of love
