God's door to His blessings
What is a door? It is a means of moving through a barrier or partition or a portal helping us to go from one area to another.
A wall on the other hand is a permanent barrier whether it's between two separate rooms within a building or even could be a barrier between the safety of your home and the dangers present outside of your home.
Another form of barrier is the spiritual barrier called sin that hinders our ability to be in the presence of GOD and obtain from Him all that HE offers to us. All of these and other forms of barriers need to have a means which enables us to be able to pass through them and that means is called a door.
In ( John 14:6 ) JESUS said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". So what does that mean? Also in (Matt 7:14) HE said " Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it ". JESUS has just said that HE is the way, then tells us that the way through HIM is a narrow way; also, that the way through the gate is a straight way. Next, HE tells us that this way leads to life, but there will be few who will actually find their way to that life.
The important question therefore that we need to ask at this point is, "Are we going to commit ourselves to being one of those few who find that life"?
When JESUS went to the Cross at Calvary a most remarkable thing happened, not only was the price of redemption for our sins paid, so was the price for the sins of Adam & Eve. They had committed their sin right back in the Garden of Eden, at the beginning of time as we know it. This sin was a barrier between Mankind and GOD. That barrier was something that had a great need for a door to be placed within it and GOD had a plan to do just that. The name of that door is JESUS.
As we have seen in John 14:6 above, JESUS is the way, but where to? Where is that way, or place that JESUS leads us to? It is back to the Father that created us, it is back to our GOD. But wait, there's more.
It is in GOD that all Heavenly blessings are ours. (Ephesians 1:3 KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Do you see that, the Heavenly Blessings come from the Father, but how do they come? They come through the gate (or door) called JESUS. It is by us being IN CHRIST JESUS that these Blessings come. He is our head, and we are HIS Body, that makes us one with HIM. Do you know of any living being that is able to walk around without a head? Do you know of any living head that walks around without a body?
Both body and head are one indivisible unit, they cannot be separated and still be able to function. That is true in the physical world that we live and breathe in and so it is also true in the Spiritual realm where we reside in. So what is this about living in one realm and residing in another?
Our lives on this planet called Earth, as we know it is where our LORD has placed us in the physical, involving flesh and blood bodies. But how many of us actually take the time to stop and think about where our Spirits live? Surely our spirits are within our Bodies? Yet we know that the Bible tells us that we are seated (NOW) in Heavenly places in CHRIST JESUS. So how can we be living here on the planet, yet be in Heaven at the same time?
Are Angels spirit beings? We know that we cannot see Angels unless GOD allows us to. In the normal day to day events of our lives Angels are not normally within our sight; yet we know that GOD gives HIS Angels charge over us to watch over us and protect us. Have you ever wondered how they can do that?
Here is where we are going to stretch your thoughts a bit, we need you to think outside of the box. We need to get outside of our sensory limitations in order to be able to take hold of this truth that exists outside of those senses. These truths exist outside of our sensory realm, therefore it's outside of that sensory realm where we need to be looking.
What we need you to see is that there are two distinctly different, yet combined realms that we live in. There is our physical realm where our bodies are currently and there is a Spiritual realm where all spirits abide, including ours.
All of what I am saying to you here is based on one major truth, that GOD does not lie. What HE has placed in HIS Word is there for a purpose, and knowing what that purpose is will enable us to think outside the box of our sensory world.
Look at this scripture: (Ephesians 2:6) " And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus": Here, in God's word we see that we are seated in Heavenly places IN CHRIST JESUS. GOD does NOT lie, therefore, we are right now seated in Heaven in HIM. So, how can this be you ask?
If CHRIST JESUS is now seated at the right hand of the FATHER (and HE is), and if we are to believe that we are IN HIM, (which we are), then, right now we are seated at the right hand of the Father. Yet as you look around, your senses tell you that you are right where your senses tell you that you are, on earth. Which are you going to believe, GOD or your senses?
When JESUS went to the Cross, and when HE spoke those eternal words "IT IS FINISHED", a door, named JESUS opened up a pathway for our spirits to be able to go to Heaven with JESUS, as HE (JESUS, the Son of Man), went back to be seated on his Father's throne as seen in Revelation 3: 21 as the Son of GOD.
(Revelation 3:21) "To him that overcometh WILL I GRANT TO SIT WITH ME IN MY THRONE, even as I also overcame, AND AM SET DOWN WITH MY FATHER IN HIS THRONE".
You might say at this point, "I don't know when I became an overcomer, I surely don't feel like one".
The moment that you asked JESUS to be your LORD and Saviour HE opened that doorway for you to enter into the Heavenly realms with HIM and IN HIM. That is the moment when you went from being someone in bondage, to being an overcomer.
You see, overcoming is not something that you do in your power, it is ONLY done through the victory of the Cross.
Now that you know that you are seated in Heavenly places (In CHRIST JESUS) and at the right hand of GOD, our FATHER and Creator you can better understand that you are seated in a superior place of Power and Authority.
As you can see through the explanation immediately above that you are right now seated ON the throne of JESUS, and JESUS is right now seated upon HIS Father's Throne. A throne is an emblem of a place of Authority. It is the place where a Ruler sits to issue out the commands that will effect the realm he rules.
The place where you are now seated, and now reside, is the Throne of JESUS. You are now seated in the place of Authority of the one who has already overcome this World and that world is where we (and our senses) live, but don't reside.
JESUS is the door, not just back to our FATHER, as seen in the parable of the Prodigal son of Luke 15:11 – 24. But HE is also the means for us to go to our FATHER and get every last weapon that we need to fight against the enemies that come against us here in this flesh and blood place.
Another thing we need to remember is that a door has a two way function, not only are we now able to go into God's presence through the door called JESUS but through HIM also we are able to go to God's storehouse mentioned in the book of Malachi and bring back to Earth all of the Heavenly Blessings stored up in there.
