God's door to His blessings

What is a door?  It is a means of moving through a barrier or partition or a portal helping us to go from one area to another.

A wall on the other hand is a permanent barrier whether it's between two separate rooms within a building or even could be a barrier between the safety of your home and the dangers present outside of your home.

Another form of  barrier is the spiritual barrier called sin that hinders our ability to be in the presence of GOD and obtain from Him all that HE offers to us.  All of these and other forms of barriers need to have a means which enables us to be able to pass through them and that means is called a door.

In ( John 14:6 ) JESUS said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". So what does that mean?  Also in (Matt 7:14) HE said " Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it ".  JESUS has just said that HE is the way, then tells us that the way through HIM is a narrow way; also, that the way through the gate is a  straight way.  Next, HE tells us that this way leads to life, but there will be few who will actually find their way to that life.

 Containing the anointing

1Sa_16:1  And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

Containing the anointing is a very important subject for all those who are walking with the Holy Spirit. In the light of all that is going on in the body of Christ today, we need discernment about the anointing like never before. In trying to understand the anointing and its relationship to mere human beings, we need to look into the life of King Saul. There is something of the King Saul spirit that is manifesting today amongst the people of God more than ever before. King Saul is an example to us of a human spirit chosen by God that could not contain the anointing or the calling and especially the mantle that was placed on him.

 Coming into agreement

Mat_18:19  Again I say unto you, That, if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

The word agree has a great bearing on the word “unity”. Likewise, the word agreement has a great bearing on the word “contract”. To explain the difference, the word “agree” does not necessarily commit one to a contractual agreement. The word agree simply means; “harmonious acceptance”. The word agreement has conditions attached to it and is binding upon the persons who come into agreement. It is formalised in writing and is upheld in a court of Law.

The guise of strong personalities

Act 22:7  And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? Act 22:8  And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.

Hidden within each one of us is a strong personality that is made up of the “I”. This is commonly referred to as the independent spirit or nature of a person. Though this identity is God-given, the ‘I” in a person is actually governed and influenced by external forces that one may accept or reject. We would like to think that we are in control of the “I” causing many of us to seek to control our lives based on this knowledge of independent choice. Saul, before he became Apostle Paul, was a very strong ”I” sort of person. This guise of his strong personality before he came to know Christ was actually a weapon that God had created in him for the revelation of Jesus to the world when he was converted. The guise of his strong personality was built up in the guise of a life under the Law and a sect of people called the Pharisees. He excelled in this form of religiosity that crafted and influenced this strong personality. The negative side of the ‘”I” personality is, it never submits. It is always right in its own eyes. It justifies itself, walks in self-righteousness and is an insidious spirit that lives within itself. It seeks to make the world submit to it. Apostle Paul had it all come to a crashing halt when he met Jesus on the road to Damascus. Jesus brought him down to his knees and opened his eyes to his true identity. It wasn’t long after that, Apostle Paul wrote these words; Gal_2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Continual deliverance & blessings

Continual deliverance & blessings

2Sa 6:11  And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household. 2Sa 6:12  And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.

There is something to be said about continuity in God which can be like the willow of the wisp at times. It is there and then it is not. Children of God find it hard to understand how to maintain the presence of God as a habitation rather than a visitation. Are they to be blamed for this? I think so. Apostle Paul puts it this way. 1Co_6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? You can see from this question that is posed, we lack knowledge of the presence of God in our bodies.  God does not occupy temples made with hands but only occupies places that are cleansed and kept clean, otherwise, He leaves. 1Sa_4:21  And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. The glory had left the inner most sanctum of God’s temple because of the sins of High Priest Eli and his two sons.

All things new

Rev_21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

In a scene from the movie, Passion of the Christ, Jesus stumbles and falls while carrying the cross. His mother runs to Him in deep anguish to help Him. He turns to her with a whisper of a smile on His face and says; “Behold, I make all things new”. It was this scene that opened my eyes to God’s re-creation of all things through the cross. The new order now is what follows the cross and not what was before the cross. It is necessary that we understand this; otherwise, we will remain in our sins not having accepted the cross and crucifixion as God’s gateway to re-creation.

Building a foundation in your life

Mar 9:23  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mar 9:24  And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Mar 9:25  When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. Mar 9:26  And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. Mar 9:27  But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. Mar 9:28  And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? Mar 9:29  And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Renewing your mind

2Co 10:4  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Imagine the mind to be a very long passenger train of which you are the train driver. Each compartment of the train (TRAIN OF THOUGHT/S) are holding cells for millions of thoughts, like passengers constantly getting on and off at different stations. The journey of our life is full of stops and starts (stations) at different stages and events that take place in our lives. The journey of this life begins when you are born and does not stop till your dead physically. In this journey of life, we can’t get on and off by ourselves but passengers (thoughts) do. What gets on and off depends on where the train takes you in life. Sometimes, the train tracks get derailed or blocked by events and by the devil. This causes more thoughts and imaginations to get into our minds that can change the course of our lives. At all times, both good and bad thoughts get on and off but allowing them in or out is within our control. This essentially is the power (our will) to change and renew our minds.
